I am an active member of several EDM groups through social media. The most commonly used group is the “EDM Family” group on Facebook. This group has roughly 15 thousand members located around the world and is rapidly growing. There are constantly guys and girls expressing their want for a special someone to share EDM moments with. One unfortunate thing that falls true to all of the posts is that the Raver/EDM girls are constantly referred to as “Hoes”. When I suggest a group for dating within the EDM scene the comments either include encouragement for that idea (mostly from girls), and the guys saying something among the lines of, “The thirst in that group would be too high”…. It’s disappointing that this is how us girls in the EDM scene are perceived because I know not all of us are like that. I think something has to change…
